People with disabilities face unique and difficult challenges when they are undocumented immigrants, especially when caught up in the immigrant detention system. Advocates from the P&A network and from an immigration advocacy organization, as well as a representative of the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Office of the Public Advocate, will discuss ways to advocate for immigrants with disabilities.

The speakers are Tally Kingsnorth from Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project in Arizona; Jennifer Alewelt from the Arizona Center for Disability Law and Andrew Lorenzen-Strait, Deputy Assistant Director, Custody Programs and Community Outreach.
